Description
Discover yesteryear today and experience the magic of the mighty Murray River with Echuca Paddlesteamers.
Once the main transport of cargo and passengers during the 1800s, the fully restored paddle steamers now offer daily one-hour cruises and are a must-do experience when visiting Australia’s paddle steamer capital. They also offer 90-minute sunset cruises during spring and summer months or alternatively can organise a chartered cruise tailored to suit the individuals or groups.
The Fleet includes the PS Adelaide (the oldest wooden-hulled paddle steamer still operating anywhere in the world) PS Pevensey, and PS Alexander Arbuthnot.
Explore the cabins, chat with the engineer or join the skipper for a steer in the wheelhouse.
Whether you are a history buff, steam buff, or simply looking for a fun day out, step back in time with and discover what riverboat life was all about.
Be sure to check out the Port of Echuca Museum before or after your cruise - Free entry. With all the History of the Paddle steamers, wharf and river trade it is an attraction not to be missed.
