The agricultural township of Tongala has reinvented itself as the Mural Capital of Campaspe Shire. The tree-lined streetscapes pop with vibrant colour thanks to volunteers painting over 40 murals in town through the Lions Club Street Art project.

These murals depict the town’s history and entertain visitors with their quirkiness, and compliment the well-established Silo Art Trail, making Tongala a must-see stop. To compliment the experience further why not book a guided walking tour with a friendly, knowledgeable local?

Tongala honours its servicemen and women with the Third Cavalry and Lighthorse memorials and the Vietnam Avenue of Honour. 

Just 15 minutes from Echuca, the countryside surrounding Tongala is pretty as a picture and well worth a drive visit.
