Spring is set to shine a little brighter in Echuca Moama with the inaugural Retirees on the River – Seniors Celebrations Echuca Moama, running Monday 7 to Friday 18 September 2026. Designed especially for seniors and retirees (and anyone who loves a relaxed escape), this 12-day program invites visitors to slow down, stay a little longer, and enjoy the best of the Murray.

The best part? Simply choose what you’d like to do and take advantage of the special offers available across the region. More than 30 local businesses have come on board with seniors-friendly deals, value-packed accommodation packages, dining specials, events and feel-good experiences that showcase what makes this region so easy to love.

This new celebration is being led by the Echuca Moama Accommodation Association, proudly supported by Campaspe Shire Council and Murray River Council. Together, the partners are working to bring extra energy to the traditionally quieter September period, supporting local operators while giving visitors even more reasons to plan a river getaway.
